A debut collection by Clare Waight Keller, the Givenchy Haute Couture Spring Summer 2018 collection invokes conversations between structure and motion. Diaphanous and crystalline, a modern approach to what is precious melts dense opulence with extreme purity. Allusions to the mid-century abound in cascading petals and arcing wings, as the cycles of our Moon shimmer in optical adornment. A cloud of ostrich and the fetish of latex on skin are tempered by graphic tailoring with a masculine hand.
