Guided by the vision of our president, Dato’ Farah Khan, the Melium Group has carefully curated an impressive portfolio of luxury brands with integrity, heritage, and a wide range of luxury products catering to the sophisticated tastes of Malaysians for the past 24 years.

Beautiful dressing goes hand-in-hand with gracious living, and a chic lifestyle is nurtured not only with good fashion, but also with good food and coffee which is why DÔME Café was introduced into the Melium family, while ASEANA CAFEBAR continues to enhance the luxury retail experience with a chic Asian and Western menu in a stylish environment.

With a finger on global trends and keen instincts on what excites and delights the luxury consumer, Melium now has a repertoire of over 100 coveted brands and with over 40 stores across Malaysia and Indonesia, earning the reputation of being Malaysia’s leading luxury fashion retailer. While we are privileged to be at the forefront of the industry, customers will always remain at the heart of our mission.


1989Melium begins its maiden journey with the AIGNER franchise, the well-known German leather brand, followed by HUGO BOSS - the world’s premier menswear brand - the first of many international brands to come under our wing.

1995STUART WEITZMAN, is brought into the fold and continues to charm customers with its line of high quality women’s footwear and accessories, much loved by international celebrities.

The first ever DÔME Café opens its doors, serving the world’s finest coffees and pioneering the café culture in Malaysia. With 18 outlets to its name, DÔME is now a place we have come to love for its comfort food, ambience and the world’s finest coffees.

1997  Insas Bhd, a Malaysian public-listed company invested in The Melium Group allowing the company to take advantage of growing retail opportunities in the country.

1999 – ASEANA – Melium’s homegrown multi-brand boutique, showcasing the best of Asean design, is launched in Suria KLCC with brands such as Ghea, Milo, and more.

Today, ASEANA – the Extraordinary Store – is Malaysia’s largest mixed-brand boutique of international ready-to-wear designer labels including Mary Katrantzou, Victoria Beckham, Roland Mouret, Helmut Lang, Pierre Balmain, Nancy Gonzales Celestina and exquisite accessory labels such as Miriam Haskell and Erickson Beamon.



2004COLE HAAN, a brand synonymous with contemporary leather products coupled with Nike Air technology brings a unique level of retail merchandise to the Melium stable.

2006 - Dato’ Farah drew from the finest of Italian luxury labels to introduce TOD'S, a brand that represents the rich and stylish Italian way of life, with a range of high-end leather products. PUCCI continues the love affair with Italy, embodying the soul of Italian high fashion with its strong heritage in the fashion world and stunning iconic prints.

2007An exciting year for Melium with the launch of Dato’ Farah Khan’s eponymous label – FARAH KHAN. With focus on effortless glamour where vintage is reinterpreted and fused with modern elegance, and expressed through luxurious handcrafted embellishments, the brand is now the first Malaysian fashion brand to be retailed in over 47 cities worldwide, and is much loved by celebrities from Kimora Lee to Selena Gomez.

2008 welcomes the celebrated French maison de mode Yves Saint Laurent (now known as Saint Laurent), bringing together Dato' Farah's love for French chic and gender-bending sophistication.

In the same year, Melium enters Kuala Lumpur's new fashion platform Pavilion KL, debuting its first ever duplex street-front stores for Aigner and Hugo Boss as well as flagship stores for TOD'S, Saint Laurent and Stuart Weitzman.

The new multi-brand store, M STORE, is another milestone, highlighting the light-hearted side of luxury shopping with over 30 fun-loving international brands that are fresh, edgy, fashion-forward, youthful and accessible. M STORE is host to brands such as Clover Canyon, Hale Bob, Custo Barcelona, Elizabeth & James, Schutz and more.


2009Dato’ Farah spearheads The Melium Group and Malaysian Tatler 20th Anniversary Charity Auction, where RM 2.1 million is raised through the auction of 80 coveted items. Proceeds are given to 10 charities including Women’s Aid Organization (WAO), Tasputra Perkim, and Yayasan Tunku Nurul Hayati.

As the years progress, we continue to look for opportunities to work with our industry, our partners and our friends to give back to society.

2011The Melium Group proudly moves its headquarters into a brand new building at The Trillium in Lakefields, Kuala Lumpur, with a contemporary space that reflects the modern outlook of the organization.

2012 In the spirit of Dato’ Farah’s love for Paris, 2012 sees the addition of the storied French fashion house, Givenchy, bringing its dark romanticism and rock edge to fans in an increasingly sophisticated luxury market.

Melium also showcases an expanded menswear offering with the launch of HACKETT LONDON, British sartorialism at its best, to an adoring fanbase, and with not one but two stores in Suria KLCC and Pavilion KL.

In 2012, the Melium Group enters the Indonesian market with FARAH KHAN stores in W Hotel in Seminyak.

2013 The FARAH KHAN label spreads its reach with its first standalone store in Suria KLCC and crosses the border to Jakarta, where the flagship boutique in Plaza Indonesia will augment its existing presence in Bali.
